We had a great day at the zoo yesterday! We are excited to begin our second quarter. 😊
This week:
Math
- We are going to be taking the next 2 weeks and doing an in depth
investigation with organizing and collecting. Some of the "Big Ideas"
that we will be exploring/developing are: equivalence, place determines
value, patterns occur when making and adding on groups of 10. We will be
doing several "investigations" like this throughout the year. I'm
excited to have the students exploring math in a new meaningful way.
Language - We are continuing on with our phonics and reading strategies
Writers Workshop - We are beginning a unit on Narrative writing - get reading for some amazing stories!
Spelling - Check out Spelling city for practice.
